The Powertraveller Solar Gorilla solar battery charger is made to power your portable laptop computer on the go. Although the Solargorilla was built for use with a laptop, it has a 24 volt and a 5 volt USB so you can also charge your cell phone, iPod and other portable electronic devices with renewable energy.
The Powertraveller unfolds to display its solar panels when needed, and it works by taking energy from the sun and converting it to electricity which can be used to both run and power your laptop computer. The case is very tough and is easy to fit in a travel bag, briefcase or backpack and won’t break. It’s only 1.5 pounds and is also water resistant, and comes with 15 connectors which can be switched in and out to allow it to connect to all devices.
For it to work out of the box, you will have to have it in sunlight while plugged in to your laptop computer (which is fine for many people). However, you can also purchase an additional external battery, which will allow you to use the solar charger to charge the portable battery, and then simply take that with you to charge your electronic devices. Either way, this solar charger is very easy to use and does exactly what it says it will do: charge your laptop using green energy from the sun.
