The Solio Magnesium solar battery charger is manufactured and sold by Solio. The Magnesium is made to charge your mobile hand held electronic devises at the same rate as a standard wall outlet. The Magnesium is very durable and weather resistant, as it was built in a magnesium alloy shell, making it the most durable to date. It includes an updated, high-capacity battery that will hold its charge for up to one year. In tests, the Solio Magnesium can provide 20 minutes of talk time or fifty minutes of MP3 music on just one hour of sunlight.

The Solio Magnesium works by converting sunlight through its solar panels into energy, which then charges its own internal battery. You can also elect to charge it directly from a wall outlet if necessary. There’s no need to have your mobile electronics plugged in to the solar charger while its in the sun (although you can) because the solar charger has its own battery. You can simply leave the Solio Magnesium in the sun to charge its own battery, and then you can use that as a portable backup battery, plugging it directly in to your devices where convenient in order to transfer the power from the Solio charger into your cell phone, GPS, MP3 player or other device.

It’s also works well with the Universal iGo tip system that allows you to use the solar power charger with literally hundreds of different electronics on the market.
